Guacamole
Hi Foodies, do you love avocados? I love avocados but I really feel like they are over rated. Ok, maybe over rated is not the word but I bet some of you know what I mean. Yaani 3 days do not pass without me seeing a meme somewhere about how amazing and life changing avocados are, LOL. But to be honest, avocadoes are quite awesome right?
Eat them with githeri or rice, or just plain with salt or sugar, I love mine with sugar they are awesome. One of my fav ways to have avocado is in guamole. Now guacamole is not kachumbari with avocado, it kinda is but not really. It defers in some basic ingredients and method if doing it. Plus it is much tastier.
Watch the video of how to make it below. The recipe is below that.

Herbed Yoghurt dressing
I told you in the Basil and Mint lamb about how I discovered lamb as a student in Aussie. To be honest I owe the development of my palette to my time in Australia. So even this combination of lamb and herbs with yoghurt I got around the same time.
I actually remember the first time I had this combination. We had gone for dinner at my pal’s, Alma’s house, she was new in town and I remember her house had a red accent wall. We were a bunch of friends, it was a great night with drinks and great conversations. Alma served bitings and one of them was lamb strips in a youghurt sauce, it was served cold and I loved it. I bet she doesn’t remember the night or the dish but it left a lasting impressing, I hope this sauce does the same to you. Make sure to serve it over the Basil and Mint lamb chops.

Citrusy Coleslaw Salad
If there is one salad that is popular in our home it’s coleslaw. Growing up my parents run a catering business. They had a chef called Ivuti who made amazing food and taught me quite a bit of what I know now. Now Ivuti made Really good coleslaw that my brother Nyaga loved. But Ivuti could not for the life of him pronounce Coleslaw. He always said Coneslaw.
