I have achieved my breastfeeding goals

Mamas, we are now on the last pack of milk.
I have achieved my breastfeeding goals.
PC took only breastmilk for 16 months (1 year 4 months) of his life. He is turning 18 months this week and still breastfeeds once in a while.
I really struggled with breastfeeding my first child. She refused at 6m and pumping for her till she was 1 was just a hussle.
With PC, if you have followed me for a while, you know I used to pump twice a day. I went from 200ml a day to 1,200ml with no cookies or special diet or drinks or uji. Just consistency.
One of the things that helped me a lot was a Haakaa pump. Swipe to see how it works. It was the easiest free milk to get. I’d place it on the opposite breast to catch the let down and I’d get anything from 10ml to 70ml depending on the time and also some days were betters. I’d use it every feed so maybe 8 to 10 times a day and get 200 to 300ml. Hussle free!
To think I knew about the Haakaa with Muthoni but never used it makes me sad. You can get it from @theelephantinabox They actually have it really cheap. I bought mine at 2400 on Amazon and I had to ship it. they have it at 2,700 in Kenya. It really is a worthy buy!

Solution to milk production

Happy Sunday!
Since launching @mamamuthonifoods many mamas have reached out and told me the ungas have really helped with milk production.
This is great feedback!
I want to point out that the products are not guaranteed to be the solution to milk production issues and that you can always book a consult using the link in my bio.

Forceful or overactive let down

Baby will gag, choke, strangle, gulp, gasp, cough while nursing as though the milk is coming too fast.
Pull off the breast often while nursing.
Try this next time:
Position baby in a tummy to tummy position with his/her head tilted back slightly and the chin touching your breast. This will direct the flow of milk up toward the hard palate and not to the back of baby’s throat, making it more comfortable for baby to manage the flow.
Experiment with different positions that will give baby more control such as:
•side-lying
•semi-reclined: leaning back in a sitting position
•koala hold
•nursing in a carrier
