How To: Roast Garlic
I love garlic, I am not sure there is something that I feel can uplift a dish more than garlic can. Well maybe salt and dhania. Those are quite amazing too. I am actually not sure which I love more, garlic or dhania. But do I have to choose?
If you had to choose which one would you choose? For me they are like my two kids, Kinda love them in equal measure. Hehehe. Now let me tell you something about this baby of mine called garlic. When you roast it, the flavour becomes milder and sweeter. The spiciness and acidity is mellowed out and what you end up with is so perfect with mash potatoes, mix some into some mayo and spread onto a burger or sandwich, into some cream cheese or natural yoghurt with some dhania and make a dip. There are so many uses. I will be showing you one of those tomorrow.
Roasting garlic is honestly so easy.
Take your fresh garlic, smash it at the top. It should look like this
Place it in a foil then drizzle some oil, then wrap it in the foil paper and put it in the oven at 200 degrees for 30 mins. You will end up with this.
To remove just squeeze the garlic out
See you tomorrow when we put this garlic to use.
