Always feed on demand

We need to stop telling mamas to feed their baby’s every three hours, this MINIMUM when all is going well weight wise.
The directive to feed every 3 hours is meant for sleepy or unwell babies who otherwise wouldn’t wake themselves up for a feed.
On average most babies feed every two hours and sometimes every hour. This is normal and doesn’t mean you don’t have enough milk.
Feeding on demand is what is important. Feeding every 3 hours is often not enough for most infants to grow well. Remember, that babies don’t come from a factory. It’s not possible for them to ALL feed every 3 hours.
Feeding every 3 hours should NOT happen if you are having issues with your supply or baby’s weight.
Remember to always feed on demand. Did you ever feel like you didn’t have enough milk coz baby fed more than every three hours?
Tag a mama who needs this.
Remember, your doing great mama
