How to Grill Peppers
I do not think there is anything that makes vegetables as tasty as roasting them. Veggies can sometimes be quite bland but a great way of making their flavour pop out is roasting them or grilling them.
If you have a charcoal grill the better. Add some veggies like egg plant or red peppers or even bullet chillis to your grill alongside your nyama choma (grilled meat) and serve it as part of a salad. It is amazing! I love grilled or roast peppers the most.
For roast peppers I love to make a salad out of it or blend it with some paprika, basil and mayo and make a dressing and/or dip. It is very easy to do.
1. Choose your pepper, clean it and place it in the oven with the grill option switched on to around 200 degrees. Let it grill till till the pepper has black patches or is mostly black, The darker the skin the sweeter the juice 🙂 hehehhe
2. Remove from the oven and place in a polythene bag and make sure to seal the bag so that no moisture escapes. This makes the skin sweat out enough for you to peel it.
3. peel the skin off and use as desired
