Ham Grilled Cheese Sandwich
So of late I have been such a lazy cook. Yaani when I cook I just want to be out of my kitchen in the shortest time possible. Now this does not always work in my favour coz I also love good food. Many times if I make food that is not tasty I am most likely not going to eat it, I have also gotten the Mr into this bad habit so he also won’t eat and we end up looking for a whole new meal.
Rosemary Potato wedges
If you are a person who does not love waru (potatoes) I don’t know waru doing with your life? hahahha see what I did there? Honestly, waru is bae. I love potatoes anyway any how. Deep fried, shallow fried, mashed, scalloped. I can eat it all day everyday.
Chilli Mango Prawns
I am not sure there is a season in my beautiful country than mango season. It comes with so much sunshine. So much happiness and celebrations. Mango season starts towards the end of the year just when the rains stop and as the sun begins to shine Kenyan’s begin to celebrate. The number of weddings, Ruracios (dowry ceremony), itara (the ceremony where Kikuyu mothers and aunties go to visit the Kitchen in the home where the daughter will be married) then there are baby showers, bridal showers, then Jamuhuri day and Christmas and new years then comes January and even though you have too many bills to pay the sun still shines every morning so you always have a reason to smile.
