#ILoveMondays; New Year Stories and Some Good News

How are you guys doing? How are you doing with your news year’s resolutions? Did you have any? I actually decided not to have any this year, really. Only thing I have purposed to do is to be more positive. Speak life into every aspect of my life. The verse my family and I are living on this year is Numbers 14:28 “Surely as I live declares the Lord, I will do to you the very thing what I heard you say” So positive things only. There is a lot of positive things happening in my life too, a lot of things to be grateful for.
Chicken Polony Grilled Sandwich

When we were kids my dad would take my brother Kiboi and I with him when he went shopping. We loved it. For some reason the memory I have is of us going in the evenings. We would go to and buy this place to buy ham and my dad would make the butcher give us polony to taste. It was always either polony or honey glazed ham. As kids this would really really excite us. Sometimes he would then have it weighed then give us more slices and we would munch away feeling like the luckiest kids in Nairobi at the time.
#ILoveMondays; Chicken Boerewores in a Sweet Basil Coconut Sauce

Anyone who knows me knows how much I love to experiment with food from other cultures. I enjoy Boerewors. They are the South African version of Mutura. They are quite tasty and very versatile, you can grill or bake in an oven, gill on a bbq, stew etc. Kenchic offers a whole new twist on Borewores. Not beef or pork but Chicken. How amazing is that?
