bread crumbs, foodieinthedesert.com

There is nothing as beautiful as food that you make yourself from scratch especially if its stuff that you would normally buy like chocolate cake or this wonderful bread crumbs. You will be surprised how super easy it is. I had lots of bread crust left over from party where I served sandwiches so i decided to give this a go. its might easy and you can do it with whole slices of bread though its a great way to use left over crust.

Ingredients

left over crust or slices of bread or even old bread

spices (garlic powder, salt, dried bay leaves, basil, oregano, black pepper etc), optional

METHOD ONE (Fresh bread crumbs)

tear the bread or put the bread into a food processor or blender (i used a blender) and pulse till the bread is broken and looks like crumbs. DONE!!

METHOD TWO (Dried bread crumbs)

Follow the method of fresh bread crumbs, preheat the oven to 180 degrees. place the fresh bread crumbs on a baking sheet and bake for 10-15 minutes its slighly browned. Removed and wait to cool then store in an airtight container.

METHOD THREE (spiced bread crumbs)

Follow method two, but once the crumbs are dried return to the blender and add in the spices and pulse to mix well. Store in an air tight container.

Boil in salted water for about 10 mins until the spaghetti is al dente and the hot dog is cooked.

Drain and put in the batter mixing well.

If you are using food color you can choose to add the color to the boiling water to get a more instense color or soak the cooked pasta in hot water with the food color.
