Florida International Hotel, Restaurant- Deira Dubai
The thing I love most about travelling is getting to eat. Honestly if I was told I could travel the world but only have to eat my everyday food. I would probably just pass on the opportunity. I go to Dubai often and I always love to eat at Florida
Location
Florida International Hotel is located opposite Al Sabkha bus station in Deira, Dubai. In fact if you are taking an uber you can just say you are going to Al Sabkha bus Station and it will drop you right at the door of Florida. There lots of shops around so when you go best to go to Deira around 5pm when shops open shop around then go eat.
First Impressions, Ambiance and Deco
Well, not much tosay. At the entrance you will get a very friendly valet. He opens the door for you and you are hit by some welcome and refreshing breeze from the AC. The restaurant is on the mezzanine floor. Not much in terms 0f deco. The restaurant is dived into 4. One thats open just at the cashier area, one in the juice area and two more secluded. We often tend to sit at the cashiers save for when we went last year in September when we would sit in the juice bar. I was pregnant and I think I had issues with the AC. LOL
Service
Service is prompt. The waiter or waitress depending on who you find is attentive and they have been there for years. This trip a lady served us each time we went and by the third time, yes we went a lot, she would just ask “the usual?” What I love most about it though is they close their kitchen at 12.30
Food and drink
I have eaten here numerous of times over the years. I actually do not think there is anywhere I eat as often well unless having a McFlurry counts. The Mr on day 5 actually told me that I must be joking coz that is all I want to eat. After going a few times I also discovered my favourite dish. Paratha and Mutton or chicken kadai. Heaven. The paratha tears apart like wet paper. It melts your mouth like chocolate, I have no idea how they do it but dear Lord it is good. The Kadai is amazing as well. We have it slightly spiced and I have no words to even describe the combination
This time we also had some calamari. Nothing to write home about. They were actually slightly over cooked. Other dishes that are awesome include the butter chicken, lamb chops, their rottiserie chicken too.
Their juice is all kinds of awesome. Freshly made when you order. Whatever you fancy, I bet you it will be awesome. My favourites are apple and strawberry. On occasion I have orange, carrot and kiwi.
Price
I think this is another o my favourite parts about this restaurant. We nomrally have a meal for two for anywhere between 50 dir to 70dir. Curry is around 25 Dir, paratha is 10 dir and juice is 12 dir
My Take
I love it. Go have some

[…] Mimi let me tell you, heheh, this place is my all time favourite. We probably ate here every night. That is how much I love it. They close the kitchen at midnight so that is a plus and it is budget friendly. Food and juice for two was between AED 50 to 60. I always have the same paratta and kadai either mutton or chicken. HEAVEN! Read more about it here […]
