Protect breastfeeding, Shared responsibility.

Feed every 3 hours is one of the biggest ways mom’s are misled in hospital.
This directive is good for sleepy babies who are usually sick or born premature who would otherwise not wake themselves for a feed. So this ensures they get the MINIMUM number if feeds required.
Feed baby on demand. It’s normal to feed even 12 or 14 times a day. Not just 7 or 8. Feed the baby not the clock.
It’s world breastfeeding week. The theme is protect breastfeeding, Shared responsibility. If from hospital we are told feeding often is normal, fewer mom’s would doubt they have enough therefore translating to more moms breastfeeding for longer.
