Heal your inner child
“If something someone does causes suffering ( emotionally) within you. It’s YOUR trigger.” – April Adam’s
When your child’s behaviour triggers you, it’s a sign that you need to heal your inner child before becoming healed adult/ parent.
I have fear of wounding my children. That triggers me, imagining them as adults suffering from the same traumas I’m trying to heal.
Have you figured out your traumas? Or your wounds?
If you have or you haven’t,

Lipstick Nip
Does your nipple come out looking like a lipstick after you breastfeed?
This is not a good sign and it indicates poor latch.
Your nipple should be round after feeding. If your nipple is slanted like a tube of new lipstick or has a white line across it, the latch is not ok.
A deep latch helps prevent sore nipples. A shallow latch means your baby is mostly sucking on the nipple and compressing it. Potential causing sore cracked nipples.
When your baby is well latched, your nipple will be far back in his mouth, preventing compression.
A deep latch leads to baby extracting more milk from the breast. This may not, necessarily, leading to better weight gain but it’s fantastic for your supply.

When do you start making milk?
We often think that we start making milk once baby is here.
This is actually not true. Most women start making breastmilk at around 20 weeks gestation (pregnant) for some even at 12 weeks!
Sometimes pregnancy complications eg gestational diabetes, pre eclampsia or birth interventions eg CS, induction, epidurals etc interfere with this.
But without the above your body makes milk from around 13-20 weeks gestation.
Your body knows what to do. Your body knows when you are having a boy or a girl, knows when you have multiples, a premie, a sick baby etc so just trust it. It will be able to nourish your baby.
I noticed mine at 20w gestation with my first child. With my second my body had just never stopped making milk from baby one 🙈😅. When did you notice your had milk?
